Congrats!

Some people think that I lack inspiration, as I haven't updated in quite a while now. But to prove those people (who will remain nameless) that they are wrong, Im writing this on the spur of the moment!

Firstly, I want to specially congratulate Sofia because she passed her driving test today! I know how much you wanted to pass, and you really deserve it. Like you say, it fits! Third time lucky, eh!

Passing your driving test is such a good day! I remember. And for the next year or so, you jus wanna drive as much as possible. So beware of the roads now that Sofi is let loose on them, heh heh heh. Huge CONGRATULATIONS and the same to everyone else reading who has recently had this joyous experience!

On a different topic, I've recently been rebooted into the patriotic mindset. Was talking with someone about 'The Royal Tournament', a kinda marching band military tatoo, and my family used to go every year when I was younger, until the year 2000 when the labour party decided it was time to axe it and start a newer, cooler more ethnically friendly event. 'Political correctness gone mad' is the correct expression I believe. But it was brilliant, and somthing that truly makes me proud to be British. Im also reading a war novel atm, and its so strange cause Im completly affected by it. I get a lump in my throat everytime Im reading it, and thats most of the time, cause I cannot put it down. Its suprised me actually, cause Ive never been a big fan of those kinda books, and I avoided them like the plague during my last year studying English at college. That explains alot actually as thinking back the main bulk of the exam was about war literature. But this book is good, and I am well pleased in it. So, Go England, or at least the England that used to be (or maybe just the British troops!)

P.s. I'm practically a single Mum for the next week, so dont expect many updates!

i think ive developed a habbit to comment :)

personally I never thought you lack inspiration, i thought ''Laura's probably out there rescuing the world, making peace in the middle-east, re-freezing the poles, fixing the ozon layer, getting rid of poverty in africa and putting an end to corruption in russia''.... of course she cant update every second day then, or what?

and your writing is really good now!! its fluent, fun to read and i reckon its correct too, i think you could teach me one or two things, cause while youre quite good at eschewing obfuscation and espousing elucidation, im more of the opposite :s

enjoy your book and the single-mum life ;)

Ahhh Fia, I told you you'd have many responsibilities now you can drive! Isnt it just great:) On the subject of food, you can ask anyone in my family, but Ive always been a bit of a disaster in that respect!

Ida, your comments are getting to be a habit, but i dont mind. It just proves that someone IS reading. Thanks, btw, and I have to say your english is nothing short of astonishing. Been putting the internet to good use, eh!

Greetings all round: Laurie.

Nice to see that you're enjoying the book so much that you even mention it in your blog! I don't know if it's the writing or the story you like more, but the writer's got quite a few novels that are almost as good as this one, and at least one that is better! Just let me know if you need more recommendations :-) Rob
