Good heavens, I really have had more trouble from these poopin pictures than they are worth, but I'm hoping that they are viewable now!
Well, while I'm here and totally feeling in the mood for a rant, I would like to say that computers and I have fallen out of love with one another.
I am the kind of person, that is laid back. Rather to relaxed maybe... but the point is, its extremely difficult to get me stressed or annoyed by anything, or at least to show it! But sitting here at half past 1 in the morning, having finally uploaded all these plonkerish pictures, whilst the laptop crashes for the 15th time in the last half an hour I find that I am quite put out!! And if I was in a high rise building I would not hesitate to hurl said laptop out of the nearest window!
That being got out of my system, I have to say that I really do love my new blog! I don't think that the ramblings of a 19 year old girl can interest anyone in particular, but its cool to be able to write again. I'd forgotten how much I missed it. There is something nice about being able to put down random thoughts that pop into your head, and send them into the void!
So in the words of Meg Ryan, in 'You've got Mail', 'Goodnight, dear void.'
Here is the link to my plonkerish pictures, hopin and prayin that it works!
Lets try again shall we!
P.s. I'm aware that I have overused the word 'plonker' in this post... I assure you it wont happen again!

God bless America, Land that I love.

A good couple of months ago now, I was lucky enough to travel to Salem, America, and work on their conference centre, Mclaey. I was there for the full month of May, along with two other girls from Alaget, Mary Parkin, and Lieske Kobes.
Ive got loooads of pictures from that trip, and have finally managed to get them onto one sight, captions an all, for your enjoyment.
Actually, they are mainly for my Nana in England, who has recently become computer wise and is surfing the net like a top pro... (well, nearly.)
They are also for you, Mum and Dad so you can see that I didn't get up to any mischief.
They are also for you, Mum and Dad so you can see that I didn't get up to any mischief.
I find that I love Americans! They have essentially a brilliant sense of humour, love good food, and are so very cute. I once thought that Americans were kinda fake, but I found out that they are actually just very earnest in all that they do, whether it is irrigating the land, celebrating a holiday, welcoming strangers or telling a joke. I discovered this earnestness, and attention to detail as I spent the better part of my month there, meticulously sanding, sparkling and re-sanding little holes in skirting boards. I tell you, never before has the presentation of skirting boards been so laboured over.
But I'm back now, ticking off a place on my "to go" list, having gained a ton of new friends and experiences, and though the tan has faded, the memories never will...(ahhhh haha, how corny, but quite fitting as this is America we are talking about!)
The link really should work now!! But you never know, I just cant help but be hopefull!

Its a fine fine life!
Well, I finally figured out how to get movies to play on the blog, but I cant for the life of me figure out how to show just the one I want. I suppose that's all part of the charm of this blog, cause the creator of it is an utter ignoramus when it concerns computers.
I suppose I should explain why such a random song has found its way here, so here's the story. Was watching TCM, the greatest TV channel cause it shows old movies, all day, everyday (Dorry and Steph and Nay will understand why I like it so much.) Anyways, Oliver! the musical comes on, and I haven't seen it since I was little, so watching it again now was just sooo...........words fail me! (People who love musicals will understand.)
I was moved by the plight of the orphans just wanting 'Food, glorious food', and Oliver wondering where love was, and the awesome Nancy loving Bill cause "He needed her", and paying the price by being killed by him. What a plonker!
I became patriotic once again, as Londoners sang 'Consider yourself, at home', and I actually cried when Oliver sang 'Who will buy this wonderful morning, I'm so high I swear I could fly, Who will wrap it up in a ribbon, and put it in a box for me'.
But the best song for me came as a surprise, it being 'Its a fine life.' It made me so happy, and the next day it kept running through my head. I even made up my own lyrics to it. Ben and Tim discovered this while I belted out, musical stylee 'If you don't mind having to put your shoes on, Its a FINE life', In a vain attempt at getting them ready for a walk.
Watch it, its on the right under 'Other sunny sights' and I'm sure it will brighten up your day!
P.S. Just watch the first one,not sure what the other clips are, and I cant friggin work out how to get rid of them.
Nanny Laura.
I sometimes worry about the effect I'm having on the kids, as Ben runs by shouting, "I do believe in fairies, I do, I do", so displays of manhood like this are kinda relieving.
Knut Olav the genius and great debater, (who is probably the most patriotic person I have ever met) and son nr.2, Timmy. (By the way, I'd just made a very funny remark and he found it amusing, hence the expression.)
Ha ha, I think he loves me too!
Ben just being cute.
Talk to the hand.Well, thats a breif view of what Im doing now, living in Horten, looking after two of the cutest chucks in the world, and improving my norwegian, (wooohoo!) Just kiddin, I really dont mind the norwegian språk that much! I have to say that (in the words of Art Garfunkel) I am "Gratefull, gratefull, truly blest, and duely gratefull". I love it here!
I am honing my skills on nannying, and forget Mary Poppins, I shall soon take her place as "Practically perfect in everyway."

"de 3 musikkteorier!"

Well, that's us, the greatest friends in the history of Alag. From left to right, Its Inga, Laurie (that's me) and Linda. I thought it was a good idea to write about "us" as my very first post on my very first blog, cause its probably only them who will read it (HA!) No, no, lets be honest from the start. I have limited pictures, due to me not owning a camera as of yet, and these pics of us were some of the few that I had so it seemed logical to use them, ikke sant! I am actually expecting this blog to be hugely successful, so I forbid you to leave this site without leaving a comment, opinion, statement, fact or greeting, whoever you are(vegetable, mineral, animal or human!)
