One was reminiscing the other day, and of course, no reminiscence of mine could possibly be complete without one of my favourite films being remembered. So I would like to introduce "The Court Jester".
Ah yes, I hear you dear English friends sigh... "What a typically Danny film", but I pay no heed to ya! I luuurve old, bad quality, grainy, corny, burst-into-over-dramatic-song movies, and nothing anybody says will ever change that. And this is my blog so I get to put what I damn well like on it, so...HA! I know my sisters will appreciate this..;well, maybe some of my sisters. I very much hope Jo and Naomi will anyhow. And you too Jill, and also Shelly. And I know Dorit will, although I know you will "tsk tsk" at my bad language, and the old movie comment! (Put that in specially to irritate you, teehee!)
"The Court Jester" is however HILARIOUS, with lotsa jabs at past English traditions, and many, many, MANY songs, it being a musical an all. I strongly urge y'all to check it out on the film bar, on the right of this post, or even better, buy and watch it!
(Its labelled "Life could not better be", and all the clips are all equally funny.)
Remember to leave a comment, as I fear I'm fast becoming a comment junky!

Hahah Laura..u were right-i do love that film! and i know just the type of film u described-i dunno why we love them..guess its harking back to our childhood days..which we all suddenly grew up out of and now miss!
Just a pity i married a Turk with absolutely no interest or desire to be aquainted whatsoever in those types of movies! In the few occasions i have managed to persuade him by all means of bribery and corruption possible into watching a such film with me, it is to be interrupted by several unabashed Snores which tend to ruin the atmosphere considerably! No good watching said movie alone-has to be with sisters who can shreek with laughter and say all the lines of the film before they are said in order to proove that they have indeed watched the film several times before and know it all off by heart anyway!
ahhh we make me laugh!
Loads of love xxx
Ok Laurie dear, I laughed my head off at those trailers! I can't believe I've never seen that movie! We have to watch it sometime. Gotta love British humor... Have you ever seen Robin Hood Men in Tights? I think you'd appreciate that one. Love you! Michelle
Shelly, Its so random that you mentioned *Robin Hood, Men in Tights', cause me and some others where gigglin about it to oursleves the other day!
Hilarious (as was your story of the murder of a duck, I forget which one!!) Snakkes hun!

Tons of hugs and cowlicks from Linda and Inga in HAMAR!!!
To Inga and Linda: You can keep the cow licks;)
maybe you should leave out the bad language and then people wouldn't need to 'tsk tsk' at it.
Just food for thought!

Hear you're coming back for a week before i go to holland with nay at half term?? I approve of this idea profoundly, and look forward to your coming with great elation.
Despite my previous comments in life about old films and your little fettish for them, The court Jester has to be by far the greatest anomaly and i am extremely grateful for its ressurrection through this blog.
I trust you are in good health!
I miss you.
Dorit :)
